Our Services

Freedom Foundation 531 supports mothers and their children in transition — women who are rebuilding their lives and working toward long-term stability.

Who We Serve

We understand that transition looks different for everyone. Some of the women we serve may be:

  • Escaping domestic violence or unsafe living situations

  • Recovering from the challenges of divorce or separation

  • Rebuilding after financial hardship or homelessness

  • Seeking stability for their children and a fresh start

Freedom Foundation 531 is not an emergency shelter, but a place where mothers can receive temporary stable housing.

Core Requirements

To help every family achieve long-term stability, participants commit to attending core classes that build life skills and confidence:

  • 💰 Financial Foundations – budgeting, saving, and credit building

  • 👩‍👧 Parenting Support – practical tools for healthy family dynamics

  • 💬 Healthy Relationships – establishing boundaries, trust, and self-worth

Each woman’s journey is supported through mentoring, counseling, and community resources — designed not to enable, but to empower.

Our Approach

Freedom Foundation 531 believes in providing a hand up, not a handout.
Our goal is to walk beside mothers who are ready to invest in their future, offering safety, education, and encouragement every step of the way.

Through stability, structure, and community, we help families move from survival to self-sufficiency — and ultimately, freedom.

How to Apply

Because we are not an emergency shelter, all applicants must go through a brief interview and intake process to ensure our program is the right fit.

Application Steps

  1. Submit an Interest Form
Contact us directly and a staff member will reach out to schedule your interview.

  2. Complete an Interview
During the interview, our team will learn more about your current situation, goals, and needs to determine eligibility and program fit.

  3. Assessment & Acceptance
If accepted, you’ll receive a customized plan outlining your housing, classes, and support structure for your transition journey.

  4. Move-In & Orientation
Once housing is available, you’ll participate in an orientation that introduces you to our community, expectations, and available resources.

Program Eligibility

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a mother with at least one child in her care

  • Be in a period of transition (such as after domestic violence, divorce, or housing instability)

  • Be willing to participate in required core classes and meet regularly with staff

  • Demonstrate a commitment to self-sufficiency and personal growth

Freedom Foundation 531 is designed for women who are ready to rebuild — not for emergency crisis placement, but for those seeking long-term, stable change.
